Afrofuturism
K. Medulla’s work explores Afrofuturism through masks and celestial beings that reinterpret African ancestry as symbols of celebration, identity, and transformation. Using wood, crystals, resin, metallics, and found objects, the work blends ancestral wisdom with futuristic innovation. Layered textures and glowing elements suggest energy beyond the physical, while masks act as sacred technology for healing and connection. The result is a vision of Blackness as infinite—divine, expansive, and powerful.
