“Clean Yo Hood”

2023-2024. At Sip Museum, co-owned with her mother Queen Nichols, K. Medulla curated the community initiative Clean Yo Hood in partnership with The Chad Livsey Project. The program combined neighborhood cleanups with mixers featuring Cape Coast Co. a Ghana-sourced coffee, herbal teas, live music, and poetry, drawing frequent support from Khalifa Lee, chair of the Neighborhood Planning Unit. In addition to curating, she designed the promotional materials, creating flyers, handbills, and digital content for Instagram to engage residents and visitors. The initiative also highlighted art activism through upcycled tire planters made with local artists Nigel Davis, Reggie Griffin, and Delonoe Baker. Seed and herb swaps, along with art exhibitions, further promoted holistic living and creative expression. This work reflected Medulla’s commitment to blending art, wellness, and community engagement.
